In this film, two funny comedians portray loathsome people who occasionally step outside of their loathsome lives to remember that they’re being portrayed by funny comedians. It is nine-tenths overwrought, by-the-numbers, meaningless Indie hokum and one-tenth mildly amusing stuff you saw in the trailer. Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig star, which is why anyone saw The Skeleton Twins in the first place. As to why those people then told other people to see it, I have no idea.

Films about suicide should probably try harder to not make you want to kill yourself.
